I was there at the time. Pretty Girls everywhere bore no relation to what the porduction methods of the late Nick Venet bought out in Love Her. I have all the recording s from Radio London and Caroline when Love Her was first played - on a reel to reel tape . Used to keep it on rewind on my Grundig TK9. I still have those tapes and from all the old TV appearances. Love Her changed my life.

As virtually everyone says, a great song, beautiful lyrics, brilliant voice (of course) but no-one appears to mention what a wonderful orchestra was behind it. Whoever decided on the last few bars of the song was a genius.

Sad John passed away in 20011. l still have all their albums. Love Her is my fave ~so haunting.
