I love this song, but it is a tear jerker. I cannot say that a sweet darling did not get over me, but I probably deserved her getting over me. Often, we are too afraid to tell a sweet darling how much we care about them and because of this I guess they have every right to get over us. Yes, it would be wonderful if we could go back and tell that special girl or guy how much they really mean, but, sadly, life does not always allow that. However, if you truly love that person, then you are happy that they are happy even if you never see them again. That is part of true love. It hurts like crazy, but it is the way of this life and we must find peace in the fact that those we loved now have peace even if we are not a part of it.
