I was in the Navy in CT and used to travel wherever we had to in order to see Jay play guitar and yes that was the reason to go see them. The songs Jay used to tear up was unreal to a novice guitar player like myself. The Marshall Stacks are why I ask my kids "HUH" constantly...lol. Did not matter though I wanted to be right up front and soak in the awesome guitar playing. Thanks Jay and keep rockin, Love the new video!!!...Joe G.

No ifs, ands or buts about it. Jay Johnson is one of the best players ever. He does things with a guitar that I can only dream of. I had the pleasure of being a fan who got to be the stage manager for his band Cryer during their heyday in CT. I still own the "Coyote" guitar I bought from him in 1983 with the humbucker pickup he used in his Strat from back in the day. (Arc Angel "Tragedy" Video). I was in awe of his playing back then and I still am. Rock on JJJ! A friend and a fan always- Tim

A true guitar hero, the best player you never heard of, this guy can play anything. Saw him in mid 70s at Shaboo with Cryer and thoughout Ct in 70s and 80s. Not only rips the blues but this guy can do metal stuff, tapping, country even jazz. You inspired a lot of players, including me. I am glad to pull up a video of you not be disappointed, you rock.
