One of the best songwriters and guitarists.

I’m a music geek and I don’t remember this song. What really blows me away is the CC album from ‘88 and of course the first 2.

If you want to feel good listen to stuff like this 

The Beatles are legends, but they could never write a song this beautiful, and that is saying A lot, obviously...This is a perfect song, and only someone like Christopher Cross could write and perform it!

This should have been a big hit.

By 1985 the label was holding Chris because of contractual obligations. They had moved on to new wave and synth pop artists who had big hair and spandex. This song has more melody and stick to your membrane sound than most of the stuff from that year. Apparently a balding Grammy winner from Texas was not high on their agenda. Too bad. Because this song is fantastic.

I kept waiting for Marlo Thomas to show up in the video.
